  • Tenders are invited for Networking and Validation Sessions Facilitator in Cappadocia. Closing Date: 25 Aug 2023 Type: Consultancy Themes: Coordination/Recovery and Reconstruction/Safety and Security Olive Branch is one of the three implementing organizations of a project funded by the European Union: “Digital Space for Civic Space - Amplifying Voices for the Rights of Syrian Refugee Women and Children (DSCS-project)”. The project focuses on Syrian refugee women and children-s rights in Türkiye and how these rights can be promoted through the involvement of civil society in the making, and implementation of human rights policies at local and national levels. The outcome of the project Digital Space for Civic Space (DSCS) will be achieved through the following three outputs: (1) Comprehensive digital data on civic, democratic, and civil society space across Türkiye and on individual human rights misconceptions (2) Reinforced and trained CS organizations (capacity building) (3) Advocacy campaigns 1.ntroduction We are seeking a skilled and experienced facilitator to lead our upcoming Networking and Validation Sessions, scheduled to take place from the 11th to the 14th of September in Cappadocia. The facilitator's role is critical in ensuring the smooth flow of the sessions, fostering a collaborative environment, and guiding participants through meaningful discussions and activities. 2. Objectives The primary objectives of the facilitator are as follows: Facilitate networking activities to encourage meaningful interactions and relationship-building among participants. Guide validation sessions to ensure participants' input is effectively collected, analyzed, and integrated into our projects. Maintain a positive and engaging atmosphere that promotes open communication and active participation. Help participants gain valuable insights and take away actionable outcomes from the sessions***.*** 3. Responsibilities The facilitator will be responsible for the following: Pre-event Preparation: Familiarize themselves with the event's objectives, agenda, and the organization's background. Collaborate with the organizing team to understand specific topics, challenges, and expected outcomes. Facilitation during the Event: Conduct opening and closing sessions to set the tone and summarize key takeaways. Design and lead networking activities, such as icebreakers and group discussions, to encourage meaningful connections. Guide validation sessions by employing various facilitation techniques to capture participants' insights effectively. Manage time effectively and ensure all sessions stay on schedule. Foster an inclusive and respectful environment where all participants' voices are heard. Feedback and Evaluation: Gather feedback from participants to assess the effectiveness of the facilitation process. Provide a summary report highlighting key insights and outcomes from the validation sessions. 4. Qualifications and Skills The ideal facilitator should possess the following qualifications and skills: Proven experience as a facilitator in similar settings, preferably with expertise in networking events and validation sessions. Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with diverse participants. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly. Knowledge of facilitation techniques to encourage active participation and engagement. Cultural sensitivity and awareness, as participants may come from diverse backgrounds. Time management and organizational skills to keep sessions on track. 5. Logistics and Remuneration The facilitator's travel expenses, accommodation, and meals during the event will not be covered by the organizing team.
