- Expression of Interest are invited for Study on Social Entrepreneurship in Turkey Under the project Strengthening Economic Opportunities for Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTP) and Turkish Citizens in Selected Localities (No: IPA/2017/394-635 - P165687) financed by the EU, the World Bank provides assistance to Turkey to strengthen its capacity to assess demand for skills, support job creation and entrepreneurship in selected provinces with high incidence of SuTP and evaluate results. Within the framework of this request for proposals, the World Bank seeks to contract the services of one - or several organisations, academia, research centers brought together in a consortium - specialized in social entrepreneurship in Turkey, to develop and draft the study Social Entrepreneurship in Turkey which aims to cover three areas: (1) mapping of social enterprises and the sector ecosystem; (2) review existing models of social entrepreneurship, including highlighting the study cases of the four pilot social cooperatives implemented under the World Bank project pilot social cooperatives BERI in Ankara, EKIP in Istanbul, HALKA in Izmir and AHENK in Mersin.; and (3); best practices in social entrepreneurship and policy recommendation to maximize the potential of the sector. Application should be submitted to the World Bank by 27 October 2021.
